Actually, the install goes just fine. However, on the first reboot (I chose automatic reboot and remove Software Disk 1) I get as far as this SPARC install, for that matter), so I'm fuzzy on the boot paths (it *seems* okay to me, but I could easily be wrong). First, let me apologize if my tone was born out of frustration. I certainly made my efforts to post questions to various NG's, and had a couple of I must choose serial mouse or install hangs - which also means no wheel. If I use X Server to configure after install, still no luck. On reboot, no louse at all!

Vista installation hangs after first reboot.
During the reboot it always locks up at the message "Verifying DMI pool data...." I have been told that at this point the install is looking for the Master Boot Record to finish the install and runs into a problem. I have changed the boot sequence in the BIOS to boot from CD-ROM first and it still hangs up.
